Dr Alex Mustard

Alex Mustard is a Registered Specialist in Endodontics and Consultant in Endodontics at King’s College Dental Hospital.

Alex graduated from Glasgow University in 1997 and worked for almost ten years in general dental practice before moving to special care dentistry. Here he worked as a Senior Dental Officer caring for the dental health of children and adults with special needs.

In 2008 he entered the MSc programme in Endodontics at the world renowned Eastman Dental Institute which he passed with distinction. He was immediately asked to work within the department and over the subsequent 10 years he treated the most complex Endodontic cases as well as teaching on the MSc, MClinDent and specialist training programmes. In 2013 his work at the Eastman was recognised by patients and peers when he became the first dentist from 12,000 members of UCLH staff to be a finalist for the Celebrating Excellence ‘Kindness to Patients’ Award. At the awards ceremony he was humbled to be described as having “the heart of a true clinician and teacher who treats his patients with the utmost care and attention”.

During this period, Alex served for five years as a Member of the Board of Examiners for the MSc, MClinDent and Specialist Endodontic Training Programmes. In 2017 he was nominated for an outstanding teaching award by the postgraduate students of University College London.

Alex has a Membership in Endodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, which is recognised as the highest qualification available within the specialty. With over ten years of referral practice experience at Haynes Dental, Alex welcomes referrals for all forms of endodontic treatment.

Dr Eeva Sillanpaa

Dr Eeva Sillanpaa qualified year 2000 in Oulu, Finland. She started her career as a community dentist in bilingual town of Porvoo, treating patients in Finnish and Swedish. Soon after she carried on working in a private practice in Helsinki and after few years of working there moved to UK.

She has since worked in Liverpool, London and Hockley, joining lovely and skilful team of Haynes Dental Surgery in 2017.

Eeva enjoys getting know to her patients and treating their families and friends, including children.

She has been an Invisalign provider since 2018 and is able to help you to align teeth to improve their aesthetics and function.

She keeps herself updated with international and UK based dental courses and seminars and spends her spare time with her family on land and on sea.
